패션 디자이너의 길에 들어서면서 언제나 창의적이고 감각적인 디자인을 해야
한다는 생각으로 가득 차 있었고 늘 새로운 아이디어와 남 보다 앞서서 뭔가를
보여줘야 한다는 강박감으로 치열하게 살아왔다.
이제 곧 30년이 되어가는 디자이너로서 나는 또 다른 도전을 하게 된다.
창의적이지만 부담스럽지 않은. 새롭지만 늘 한결 같은 남보다 앞서기보다는
공감할 수 있는 옷을 만들자고…
가치 있는 삶을 위한 아름다운 옷. 부드럽고 매력적이며 깊이 있는 옷.
그것이 내가 만드는 옷이고 ‘희원’의 철학이다.

As I was setting out as a fashion designer my mind was constantly
filled with thoughts about producing original and stylish designs,
it was my obsession with coming up with ideas and producing things
faster than anyone else that propelled me forward.
Now, thirty years on, I am taking on a different challenge. And that
challenge is to produce fashion that is unique but not overwhelming,
and novel but conventional.
Now, rather than trying to create things before others get the chance
to create them first, I endeavor to produce outfits which people can
identify with. Beautiful clothes for a valuable life.
Clothes which are soft, charming and meaningful.
That is the kind of clothes I strive to make, and that is the philosophy
of Heewon Planning.
